Falls hires new principal for North Middle School

Jan. 30, 2012 | 0 comments

Menomonee Falls - Even after losing one of its top administrators, Menomonee Falls School District officials aren't feeling grim after hiring a new principal at North Middle School. Lynn Grimm will take over for Tabia Nicholas, who left to take an administration job with the Waukesha School District.

Grimm has been a middle-school teacher in Menomonee Falls for more than two decades, most recently as a seventh-grade math teacher.

"The community and support for students is amazing," Grimm said in a statement from the district. "I truly feel the students receive a high level of education when they come here."

"I'm passionate about the students growing and taking them from their current place academically and socially and helping them pursue excellence."

Grimm earned National Board Certification in 2004 and has been a leader at the state and national level through National Boards. She is a past board member for Wisconsin National Board Network Nonprofit Organization, among many other accomplishments and leadership roles.

"Lynn demonstrates the skills of an instructional leader. She is Nationally Board Certified, is a leader at the state and national level, and she has a vision for North that will continue to enhance the skills of the strong staff they have," Superintendent Patricia Greco said. "Her mission is to connect deeply with parents and the community. She will be a great partner on the leadership team. The future for North is very promising."

Grimm earned a Master of Science degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch College in 1996. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with a math minor from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1991. Grimm has a license in both instruction and administration.

Grimm has received an Excellent Educator Award from the Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth, the Southeastern Wisconsin Assessment Collaborative Award from Alverno College, has earned her Professional Development Certificate and has been named Walmart Teacher of the Year.

Grimm lives in the town of Erin with her husband, son and daughter.
