Jamie Genthe and Brian Karcher of Milwaukee are planning a May 27, 2012, wedding at the Milwaukee War Memorial.

Parents of the couple are Bill and Patti Genthe of Menomonee Falls and John and Judy Karcher of Verona.

The bride-to-be earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. She is a doctor of philosophy student at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The future groom earned his master's degree from UW-Madison in 2008.
